Daphne Sheldrick: Open to the public from 11:00hrs to 12:00hrs daily. Located at The Nairobi National Park,
Daphne Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage looks after and supports orphaned baby elephants
and rhinos who have lost their mothers to poaching, death, injuries, on getting lost in the
wild or other tragedies.
Besides feeding, washing and walking the babies, Daphne and her dedicated staff of keepers
provide emotional support to the orphans as they raise them to be released back into the
wild when they are ready. It is worth a visit to the park to see the young elephants
interacting with their keepers – playing, taking mud baths and being fed with milk.
The keepers will give you a lecture of each of them explaining their names and their life
histories on how they were orphaned.
This is a rare sight to watch and a most memorable way to get up close to the babies and
observe their playful habits, something which is not possible or even safe during your safari
in the wild.

Giraffe Centre
A visit to the Giraffe Centre directly supports the conservation of endangered Rothschild
Giraffe, and is a great way to meet Africa's tallest mammal up close and actually feed them!

Karen Blixen farmhouse:
If you loved Out of Africa, you'll love this museum in the farmhouse where author Karen
Blixen lived between 1914 and 1931. She left after a series of personal tragedies, but the
lovely colonial house has been preserved as a museum. Set in expansive gardens, the
museum is an interesting place to wander around, but the movie was actually shot at a
nearby location, so don’t be surprised if things don’t look entirely as you expect!

After breakfast, depart Nairobi and journey south towards Amboseli National Park, arriving
in time for lunch at your lodge or camp. Amboseli is famous for its vast open plains, large
herds of free-ranging elephants, and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro; Africa’s
highest peak.
After some time to relax, embark on an afternoon game drive. The park offers excellent
wildlife sightings including elephants, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests,
and numerous bird species. On clear days, Mount Kilimanjaro provides a breathtaking
photographic backdrop. Return to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight on a full-board
basis

This day will be spent exploring Amboseli National Park. After breakfast, the clients will
embark on a morning game drive, offering excellent opportunities to spot elephants, lions,
cheetahs, giraffes, and a wide variety of birdlife, all set against the backdrop of Mount
Kilimanjaro.
They will return to the lodge for lunch and some time to relax, before heading out for an
afternoon game drive as wildlife becomes more active. The experience will be crowned with
a scenic sundowner, allowing the clients to unwind and enjoy breathtaking views of the
African savannah as the sun sets.

Sundowner:
Sunset is a great time to unwind while watching the wildlife in the distance. This is the time
many people take to reflect on their safari day. This tradition, which is an essential part of
most safaris, has its origins in the colonial era. A sundowner is ‘happy hour’ in the African
bush, at sunset. Your game drive will be spiced up with a Sundowner to round off your
afternoon game-drive experience.
Typically, a variety of drinks and snacks are served against the breathtaking backdrop of an
African sunset. Many camps have their own unique and exclusive African sundowner place
to see this magical occasion. Guests are encouraged to simply sit back, relax, and soak in the
ambience while listening to and watching the savanna’s wildlife during a sundowner. The
majority of sundowner sites also provide fantastic photo opportunity.
Typically, just before the sun sets, your safari guide will look for an area with a view for your sundowner. The standard sundowner is gin and tonic, although others like local beers or
wines. A sundowner set-up might be as simple as a table and chairs or as elaborate as a
blanket. Some people prefer to relax on pillows while gazing at the vibrant sky, while others
prefer to simply stand. What more could you want than a refreshing drink, and a stunning
sunset?

Following breakfast, the clients will depart Amboseli and drive towards Lake Naivasha,
passing through scenic landscapes and the Great Rift Valley. Arrival will be at Lake Naivasha
Resort in time for lunch. The afternoon will be spent by enjoying a boat ride on the lake,
observing fish eagles swooping for prey and families of hippos wallowing in the shallows.
Disembark at Crescent Island Sanctuary for a guided nature walk among freely roaming
giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. The evening is yours to relax and enjoy a lakeside dinner
beneath a starlit sky.

Boat ride & Crescent Island Walk
A park where you walk with the animals, one of the most beautiful parks in Kenya and often
called Naivasha's best kept secret. Abundant bird life and animals that roam free makes it
the perfect excursion for everyone. Crescent Island is totally worth the visit. Lots of animals
on a small patch of land, you literally walk among giraffes, Zebras, Antelopes etc. in
company of a professional guide. Amazing experience!

After breakfast, the clients will check out and depart for the world-famous Masai Mara
National Reserve. The drive takes them through the scenic Rift Valley escarpments and rural
countryside. Arrival at Mara Sweet Acacia Lodge will be in time for lunch. In the afternoon,
instead of a game drive, the clients will visit a nearby Masai village, where they can learn
about the Masai culture, observe traditional practices, and interact with the community.
This will also be a great opportunity to support the local artisans by purchasing handcrafted
beadwork and artefacts.

Masai Village Visit: (cost included)

the group with traditional dances. The group is welcome to join the dance which also

will demonstrate some of their ways of life including making a fire from the friction of
rubbing 02 sticks together. A Maasai blacksmith and a medicine man (Laibon) will also
demonstrate their trade in their traditional ways. There will also be a show on how they
harvest blood from cows, which they then mix with milk and eat. In Maasai Culture, the women are charged with the responsibility of building houses. They will demonstrate how
they build Manyattas (Maasai houses) using cow dung and other materials. Having seen all
above activities, the group can then split into smaller groups and compete against each
other or against Maasai Morans in the following activities: - Jumping/ throwing of arrow - - -
Milking goats, shooting arrows using bows. Running short races/ Arm wrestling. After the
